| Free work is the best and only way I know of to build the portfolio and experience necessary in order to attract more paid work. There are a lot of good sites out advertising paid work from all over the world. Simply google the term "freelance writing" and a lot of options pop up. Other ways to build experience is to write reviews on something (movies, games, etc...) as if you were a paid writer. This allows you to show off your skill to anyone in the future even though you have never been hired before. Good luck! |
| You have a point there Adam. As what many people say, "practice makes perfect." If a writer keeps on writing blogs and articles this will be a good start for him to become a successful blogger. In the future, you will be confident enough to join blogging contests. There are website offering blogging contests where you can join. Writing blogs is really worthwhile for improving one's skills at writing. |
